Funded by Canadian Heritage’s Anti-Racism Action Program, RIWC launced a new Anti-Islamophobia Support Line last fall to provide referral and counselling support for victims of religious, racial and culture-based violence. It is not meant to be a replacement for the Police Service. In an emergency, please call 911.

Our Support Line is a FREE, confidential and independent supportive counselling service for women and youth who self-identify as Muslim and have experienced hate crime incidences and need someone to talk to.

Our Peer Counsellors are trained volunteers who will help our callers demystify the reporting process, connect Muslim women and youth with community resources, and offer a safe space to connect with others in the community who are here to help.

At RIWC, we are also excited to be able to host multiple Conversation Groups from September-December 2023 via Zoom all registrations are now OPEN! All participants will be entered into a raffle to win one of FIVE $100 gift cards of their choosing.
