Strategies for Diversity, Equity & Inclusion
With support from Women and Gender Equality Canada (WAGE), the Riverdale Immigrant Women’s Centre hosted 10 roundtable discussions in spring 2025 with racialized women, 2SLGBTQI+ and BIPOC workers. These sessions identified policy gaps and hiring biases that continue to affect underrepresented groups in the labour market.
Insights from these discussions were used to develop the RIWC Employer Toolkit, designed to help small and medium-sized businesses strengthen inclusion in their workplaces.
Our free online tools work together to assess, improve, and sustain inclusive practices. They support employers in meeting compliance goals, attracting and retaining diverse talent, and building measurable equity and accountability across their organizations.
DEI Self-Audit Tool
A practical tool that helps employers measure and improve their inclusion and equity practices. It uses a simple 1–5 scale across three pillars: Compliance & Policy, Inclusion & Culture, and Leadership & Accountability. The tool supports small and medium-sized employers to identify strengths, close gaps, and link directly to the Self-Directed DEI Training Tool for ongoing learning.
