Digital Literacy Workshops
Last year, an eight-part digital literacy workshop series was developed by RIWC. The project aimed to close the inter-generational digital divide in accessing and utilizing online community services and supports post-pandemic lockdowns. Our program was delivered through a hybrid service delivery model, including 1-to-1 mentorship support and group support workshops that were co-facilitated with The 519 and Hispanic Development Council within Toronto, Ontario.
This September, RIWC is launching a NEW series of digital literacy workshops that will further reinforce previous materials as well as introduce service users to more creative forms of using technology. In partnership with The 519, RIWC is developing a series of presentations covering topics such as basic graphic design, photography, and creative writing.
